Project Outline
Project Duration: 1 Month
Website: https://www.caulfieldmusiccentre.com/
Job: Rebuild his existing website
I had the pleasure of visiting Caulfield Music Center in June, I met with Jeremy, the owner. From our interaction, it was evident that Jeremy had a genuine passion for music and was incredibly friendly. During our conversation, I presented Jeremy with a mock-up design for a potential website, which immediately caught his attention. He expressed his desire to update the existing site and showed enthusiasm to collaborate with me on the project.
Over the course of the next month, I undertook the task of rebuilding their website using the Wix platform. Holding meetings with Jeremy to help me in building a website that he was pleased with. Alongside website development, I focused on optimizing the site for search engine optimization (SEO). Throughout the project, I maintained close collaboration with both Jeremy and Joules to gain a thorough understanding of their requirements and translate them into a visually appealing and fully functional website.
Problems
- ➡ The existing website took on average 5s to load
- ➡ Wasn't user-friendly, all information existed on a single page which was dreadfully long.
- ➡ There was little consistency in the brand colours which resulted in a very poor contrast between the text and background
- ➡ The image's meta details and sizing were not edited meaning images would often show the "screenshot..." name.
- ➡ The site was not mobile-responsive
- ➡ No content organisation
- ➡ incorrect pricing and service details

Solution
I implemented the website using Wix, leveraging its user-friendly interface and customisable features to create a modern and professional online presence for the music store. In addition to the website development, I paid particular attention to optimising the website for SEO.
I focused on meta tags, load speed and structuring the content appropriately, I aimed to improve the website's visibility in search engine rankings and attract more organic traffic. Additionally, I took the opportunity to redesign Caulfield Music Centre's logo to align it with Caulfield Music Store's brand identity and create a fresh and memorable visual representation of the business.
